To add GST, the tax is the base amount times the rate. Example: ₹1,000 at 18% adds ₹180, giving ₹1,180. To remove GST from a final price, divide by (1 + rate/100): ₹1,180 ÷ 1.18 = ₹1,000 base, so ₹180 was tax.
Profit is selling price minus cost price. Profit % (on cost) is profit ÷ cost × 100. Margin % is profit ÷ selling price × 100. For cost ₹800 and selling ₹1,000: profit ₹200, profit 25%, margin 20%.
Markup is profit as a percentage of cost; margin is profit as a percentage of selling price. The same ₹200 profit is a 25% markup on ₹800 cost but a 20% margin on ₹1,000 selling price.
sin/cos/tan use the degree or radian mode you select. log is base-10 and ln is natural log. Use ^ for powers, sqrt() for roots, ! for factorial, and pi or e for constants. Brackets control the order of operations.
